TH Brown was founded in 1948 by Thomas Howard Brown, based on a desire to produce well crafted, well designed furniture. Continuing the family legacy, the highly regarded company is now led by a third generation. Simon Brown, grandson of TH Brown, is passionate about protecting and continuing the TH Brown story. This is revealed through a commitment to crafting unique, high end furniture from the finest sustainable timbers and premium leathers available.

The 'Danish Bar Stool' was designed in 1960 by Peter Brown for the family business, TH Brown. The stool was sculptural, lean and beautifully crafted with a tall organic backrest that defined its form - it remains one of the most highly coveted examples of mid 20th century furniture to emerge out of Australia.

"One of the first designs that attracted us to the mid-century aesthetic was this elegant, adjustable stool”.

“We are impressed with the high level of craftsmanship that has been retained with the reissued stools. They are classic  and functional for the needs of a contemporary audience and also deserving their place as a collector favourite of the future". Dan Eagle - Good Form, Director.
